The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online application window for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2027, the single gateway for admission to B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, M.FM, M.F.Tech, NLEA, Artisan and Ph.D. programmes offered at NIFT campuses across India. Registration began on 16 October 2026 and the form must be submitted by 16 November 2026; applications with a Rs. 5000/- late fee are accepted till 21 November 2026, followed by a correction window from 22 to 25 November 2026. Candidates applying for B.Des and B.F.Tech must be within the upper age limit of 24 Years, while all PG programmes carry no upper age limit. Seat Reservation & Category Rules (As Per NIFT Admission Policy)
Reservation of seats is applicable at NIFT campuses as per Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS and PwD candidates. Candidates must produce a valid category certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format at the time of counselling and document verification. The EWS certificate must be issued for the current financial year; OBC-NCL certificate must be valid as on the closing date of the application. PwD candidates are considered under the horizontal reservation quota and must carry a valid UDID or disability certificate specifying a minimum 40% benchmark disability. Unreserved category candidates are also eligible to compete for reserved category seats if they satisfy the notified eligibility.

Stage 3 – Situation Test / Personal Interview: Situation Test for B.Des candidates assesses material handling and 3D model making; Personal Interview is conducted for M.Des, M.FM and M.F.Tech candidates.
